RUINS: STORIES AND PHOTOGRAPHS Arlene MacLeod and Morgan MacLeod

Why are ruins so popular? What is it that ruins evoke? Ruins can seem strange places in the 21st century. Built over long centuries, they buzz with tourists from all over the globe. Ruins can seem irrelevant piles of rocks, but they are also the fabulous works of artists and scientists. Something of their work and spirit remains, lingering in these places. We modern travelers become part of an enduring chain of curiosity and wonder that seems particularly human.

This book emerged from a collaboration after a trip to Greece and Turkey. We visited Delphi, Paros, and Ephesus and the stories and photo essays emerged from this chance to be in these special places together.

You can find our book on Blurb.com. The entire ebook is available for viewing in their bookstore, and the hardcover can be purchased there as well.
